Reviews of a couple...

Minnesota at New York Rangers:
The Rangers played a mostly good game. J.T. Miller LW is continuing his hot times, which is great. Having a guy to count on nightly for a goal means a lot. Ryan McDonagh D and Derick Brassard C played great. The Rangers gave up two early and battled back for a 4-2 win. Much needed points.

That said, I still saw those breakdowns. After the Rangers got the lead, Minnesota may have stepped up some while the Blueshirts played a bit of prevent. There were multiple times where the back middle of the ice was open. It's like the Rangers are pressing toward the puck in their own zone too much. In one series, Old man Boyle D was stuck in front of Lundqvist guarding two Wild players. This type of thing will get a team burned. Again, fortunately it wasn't last night.

Anaheim at Los Angeles:
This was a really good game. Both teams are poised for the playoffs. I am impressed that Anaheim hasn't tightened up their own zone play. This is so important for breaking out into good transitions going the other way. Los Angeles wasn't beaten badly. It was a close game. The way Los Angeles got that late goal means they are never a team to take lightly, I like that.
