The Rangers have a tough schedule! Game one was last night...

Over the rest of the season the Rangers are playing 25 games, 15 of them are against top teams. Last night was the first of those 15. It didn't go so well, but it could have been worse...maybe.

Chicago came, Chicago saw, Chicago conquered...Am I right!?

a 4-3 loss, really (5-3 on the scoreboard after an ENer). The Rangers didn't play terrible hockey. It is clear though they have holes and it is clear that Chicago can exploit holes. If it isn't Kane or Toews, it's some youngster like Panarin or Teravainen. Artem Anisimov and guys like that can shine too. And then stop all that and you have to work against that system and those defensemen - Keith, Seabrook, Hjalmarsson.

The Rangers for maybe 48 of the 60mins played really well. Both teams exchanging zone times and getting chances. The Rangers again make the goalie Crawford look unbreakable, though. We are not full of finishers. It rotates some...Zuccs, JT Miller and now Kevin Hayes? But none are true finishers

It isn't new. The Rangers are not talented enough to beat teams with good mobile defensemen that also have more two productive forward lines. Fortunately, not many teams have that. But looking at the last two depressing games, last night and the other night against the Kings where the Rangers lost in overtime after leading by a goal in third, we can see this team needs something else.

Maybe we package three forwards and Lundquist for Jack Eichel! Would Buffalo bite on that!?
