San Jose 0 New York Rangers 4 NOPE
Finally able to watch the game. Wow, that was a very solid performance by the Blueshirts. I have to say I am happy. The own zone play was impressive. Raanta got the shutout win because they boys played committed own zone hockey. I read a quote by Raanta saying that his team got to any rebounds - it is true. Raanta played good positional hockey and it was all that was needed. Rick Nash played a great game. Stepan was noticeable. The whole team was very solid and all the lines were able to create chances.

San Jose didn't play terrible hockey - they had some chances that were going in other games - but this was not their best game. Their speed is evident in their forwards. Their defense didn't seem to be a force. I am sure Paul Martin's mobility is missed. And really Logan Couture's attitude and forechecking could change things a bit too. Really, this was a game the Rangers had to win and they did. San Jose will have to shake this off and reset, they have four games left this month against no easy teams - well, the Canes but I don't want to believe they are easy :(
0 - 1 tonight
