Who of the night - October 15th

Kyle Okposo - 27yrs RW, NYI-21 he had a goal last night and you should notice the subtle move he made to get Pekka Rinne to freeze or guess wrong. This guy produces.

Matt Niskanen - 28yrs, D, WAS-2 he was an effective d-man with Pittsburgh before going to the Caps. Solid on both ends of the ice. His play will be a big part of Washington going far.

Lars Eller - 26yrs, C, MTL-81 One of those types winning teams have. He can finish and create. Good skater. I'd have to read/watch more but I think his defense is improving as he matures.

Daniel Sprong - 18yrs, RW, PIT-41 Sweet finish last night. Likable kid with a good family story of support for his hockey future.

Jason Spezza - 32yrs, C, DAL-90 Hands and skating. Add to that vision as well. He had a couple of sweet plays last night. He's usually responsible in his own end too.

Aleksander Barkov - 20yrs, C, FLA-16 Honestly, I don't know a lot about this kid, but he is on a line with Jaromir Jagr and he looked really headsy last night.

Alexander Steen - 31yrs, LW, STL-20 He made a nasty pass on Stastny's goal and had a nice shot on his goal. He produces consistently. The Blues will need him to show up in the playoffs.

Zach Parise - 31yrs, LW, MIN-11 He is a leader on the ice - never gives up and this creates a lot for him. Everything about him is not pretty (cept maybe his Matt Damon looks) but he produces consistently. He's the guy that can keep you alive in the playoffs - think Claude Lemieux without the evil or Rod Brind'Amour without the nose thing going on.
