Reviews: November 11th

1 Montreal 3 10 Pittsburgh 4 (SO) --
Mike Condon played big. I think the Penguins got better chances and more of them. This is another case where the goalie that gets the WIN was not the best goalie on the ice. That said, Pittsburgh has to be happy with the way their offense generated opportunities against a very good Montreal team. Sidney Crosby did produce but he is not as solid as I've seen him. If Pittsburgh plays as they did in this one, I think they are the team from the East and the battle for that Stanley Cup thing will be fun to watch. Montreal's forwards, Max Pacioretty and Thomas Plekanec, are good but they are beatable - they have to be a force for this team to be dominant - which is nice, because that is not a long distance to travel. I cannot imagine the Pens if Malkin and Crosby return to forms we have seen from them in the past.
Tossup 5/5

27 Edmonton 4 at 15 Anaheim 3 (OT) NOPE
Corey Perry did what he could. His second goal was a thing of beauty - goal-scorer hands. Then Ryan Nugent-Hopkins shows off his hands on the next goal. That was a good game, these teams both have huge holes in their play. They both give up a lot in front of their goalies. Edmonton needs that mobile smart defenseman - not Mike Green, at Detroit - mobile but not a great defensive asset, more like a Sami Vatanen who plays both ends of the ice well. The Oilers have a long list of handsy guys. They could also use a guy like Pascal Dupuis - tough and capable in the offensive zone.
Anaheim 6/4

0-1-1 for the night
score: 4.50
