Seven Days: Buffalo (Atlantic - 7th)

The Buffalo Sabres might be wearing shades. Coach Dan Bylsma seems to be keeping this team encouraged and playing hard.

Offense:
Jack Eichel had a good week but they haven't been falling for him lately. Sam Reinhart has had it even harder. Tyler Ennis had a hot hand in this seven and Ryan O'Reilly does work every week.

Defense:
Rasmus Ristolainen is a bright spot and getting lots of time on the ice. Could be a big part of the future here.

Goalies:
With Robin Lehner sidelined Linus Ullmark and Chad Johnson have been playing fine and sharing time. They had a solid seven and will be very tested in the next!

Next Seven:
Tuesday Dallas visits
Thursday at St. Louis
Saturday at Dallas
Monday St. Louis visits

Rough seven here! But this team needs to look at these challenges as growth for the future. Anything they can steal away is just a positive.

Win 4 - 1 at Tampa Bay
Win 3 - 2 at Florida
Loss 3 - 4 (OT) San Jose

Not a bad game in there. Sure, the Sabres have a lot to work on, but they have come a long way from last season. This set with 5pts is a good building block for them.

Injuries:
Zemgus Girgensons did not play Tuesday night. He can be an impact forward, though, this season he hasn't been.
