Reviews: November 16th

24 Arizona 2 12 New York Islanders 5 NOPE
John Tavares is too much for a lot of teams. When he gets even a small moment with the puck things happen. Kyle Okposo works well with him. Arizona got two late. Most of the night they just weren't generating much.
Arizona 6/4

17 Anaheim 4 25 Carolina 1 NOPE
Noah Hanafin, the Canes' number one pick this year, got his first goal. Carolina again outshoots a team and loses. I don't think they created much though - shots don't equate to goals. Sami Vatanen's goal was just sweetness. Ryan Getzlaf got his first, but he still hasn't beaten a goalie.
Carolina 6/4

16 Vancouver 3  3 Montreal 4 (OT) YES
Lars Eller's shorthanded goal and Max Pacioretty's quick hands sparked a Montreal comeback in this one. What was a loss being blamed on goalie Mike Condon turned into an overtime win for Montreal. Vancouver had a hearty start to this one, but faded as the Habs players took control of things.
Montreal 7/3

19 Detroit 4 14 Ottawa 3 (OT) --
I didn't see any of this one - seems like it went typical to how these two teams play.
Tossup 5/5

13 Tampa Bay 0 20 Florida 1 --
I saw none of this one, also. But this is becoming the story of the early season - the Lightning can't score. Starting with Steven Stamkos's 6 shots.
Tossup 5/5

23 Winnipeg 2 9 St. Louis 3 YES
I didn't see this one. Seems that St. Louis team concept and depth elevated them past an opportunistic Jets team.
St. Louis 7/3

2 - 2 - 2 for the night
score: 5.33
