Seven Days: Montreal (Atlantic - 1st)

Montreal doesn't just look beatable these days, they are. Just average since that hot, hot start. Many will point to goaltending, but Carey Price was in net for the first two losses. It's more likely scoring depth. And when you push for offense too much, you give up higher quality chances - like in that game against Colorado?

Offense:
Captain Max Pacioretty hasn't been a let down really. He Tomas Plekanec try to carry this offense. But it's when the other lines control play and actually finish chances that this team becomes almost unbeatable.

Defense:
Ultimately, if PK Subban and Andrei Markov struggle, this team struggles. Fortunately, these two are mostly not struggling. Against the Avs everyone struggled.

Goalies:
With Carey Price out, Mike Condon has played respectably. Dustin Tokarski has come in some but not in the form he had during that playoff run a few seasons ago.

Next Seven:
Thursday Arizona visits
Friday at New York Islanders
Sunday New York Islanders visit

The Islanders games will be interesting, especially if Arizona gets the upset.

5pts

Last Seven:
Loss 3 - 4 (SO) at Pittsburgh
Loss 1 - 6 Colorado
Win 4 - 3 (OT) Vancouver

That Colorado game was a debacle - the Avs were near perfect on their high chance opportunities. The comeback win against Vancouver might help them get their groove back.

Injuries:
Alexei Emelin is nursing something - day-to-day

seven days Nov. 10th - 16th
