Seven Days: Philadelphia (Metropolitan 6th)

The Flyers don't have depth in their forwards - or at least they are playing like it. The defense/system is spotty. On the flip-side, when all the players play their roles correctly, the team seems to be shutdown. I say, screw the offense and bottle it up, win 1 - 0 a lot.

Record:
18gms 6 - 8 - 4, 5 ROW (projected: 7 - 9 - 5)

Injuries:
Mark Streit is on IR - he plays a lot of minutes and could be missed a lot.
Michael Neuvirth wasn't on the bench last night -- not sure of the issue. Steve Mason played well though.

Next Seven (Nov. 18th - 22nd):
Thursday San Jose visits
Saturday at Ottawa
Monday Carolina visits

One team is hot and two need wins - Philly has to get 4pts this week. The Ottawa game is pivotal.

3pts

Last Seven (Nov. 11th - 17th):
Loss 2 - 5 Washington
Win 3 - 2 (OT) at Carolina
Loss 2 - 3 (SO) Los Angeles

This week went as expected - getting two points against the Canes was necessary.

Offense:
Claude Giroux fits nicely on any first line. Jakob Voracek is starting to get offensive. Maybe these two can start them on a streak.

Defense:
Michael del Zotto has the minutes. An ex-Ranger, he's not bad, but to be getting first d-man time, I don't think so.

Goalies:
Steve Mason has been ok in these games. His team hasn't supported him much. Michael Neuvirth has been out but will be in the lineup soon.
